[Action: 1446 Mitchell]

[Any of the resident children will find Granny in the kitchen in the morning. Speaking to their drone daddy in no uncertain terms.]

Porridge is what I made. Ye can eat it or not, yer decision. Didn't make it fer you.

[Action: Mayfield Elementary]

[Granny glances down at the lesson plan someone handed her on her way in. And promptly tosses it in the rubbish bin]

Well we won't be talking about that. Apparently I'm expected to teach you lot, so we might as well learn something of use. Like what reality ought to look like.

[Action: Park]

[When class lets out, Granny can be found in the park cataloguing everything for future class purposes.]

Well it ain't like this town. Seems more useful to teach you lot to spot all the shenanigans than...

[Picks up the lesson plan]

Spotting commune-ists.

Wouldn't it be more useful to see what really is here instead of what should be?

Exactly. What's really going on rather than what the town wants you seeing. All that tidiness is hiding plenty.

[Alright, now that that's been cleared up, Sue's excited to learn!]

So how do you do it? See through the shenanigans, I mean.

You start by asking questions. Like whether things should be so alike.

Okay... so you question what you see in front of you.

Then what?

THat's when you start looking closer, make sure it's not just the surface distractin' you.

Like trying to find something that sticks out from everything?

From: [identity profile] atent-dead.livejournal.com
Exactly. Nothing is ever that tidy unless it's hiding something.

So if it is hiding something, you need to find exactly what that something is, right? And then figure out what to do with it?

Not bad, yer catchin' on here.

It's probably a lot easier to say then do though. Do you have anything we could use to practice it? So we can have some experience for when we really need it?

The park is a good place to start from. Not much to learn just sittin' in here.
